This morning, at 8 am, I had testing for a job that I applied at. I loved the atmosphere, overall it just seemed like a great company to work for. Before the testing, the coordinator told us that we should be lucky to have gotten this far. They had received 647 resumes before the job posting ended and they didn't count the hundreds that they got AFTER it ended. I think about 30 people were called in for testing. It is insane that so many people are jobless. This economy is crazy. I am fortunate that i do not have a house or a new car and children...How would i support myself? So..so..insane. But eventually I WILL find something. We all will. Until then, the time keeps on ticking....

Today was a Good Day.... and I didn't Even have to use my Ak :)

Today I received my highly anticipated prize pack box from Eve. I opened it the minute the postman dropped it off to me. I have to say that I was a tad overwhelmed. This box was packed and I mean PACKED with awesome goodies. Seriously, this made my entire day. It was packed with many makeup, jewelery, coin and grocery bags, lipstick, chapsticks, hello kitty stuff galore, a bandana, some AWESOME toys for my toy shelf including a wind up Robot, stationary, gift cards, note cards, address book, notebooks, STICKERS of all kinds, nail stick ons, lotion, bracelet, purfume, mirrors, buttons, a hello kitty toothbrush and even a new brain and a best friend (add water, of course).... Geez louise... this prize pack was OFF THE HOOK!!! Thank you thank you thank you... a million thank yous to EVE. PLEASE go visit her blog...she is one cool person. :) You rock and made my day. I tried to take as many pictures as i could to share with all of you my goodies!! :)

Today, I finally got off my butt and opened my Etsy shop. I only have 3 scarves in there at the moment, but will be adding new things weekly as I get more creative. :) Check out my new shop... It is to the right on my side bar. Let me know whatcha thing.

Eve Noir

Today is a GREAT day on many levels. My first week back in the blogging world and I won a prize pack put together by the ever so creative Eve Noir, over at Through Eve's Looking Glass. I am ever so excited to get her package and will most definitely post all of the goodies for everyone to see!! :) Thank you, Eve, you made my evening!! :)

Second off, while hanging out with my mom today, I got a call from my old job offering me a temp job from Nov.16th- mid January working the clerical side of the local H1N1 shot clinics. It is around 32 hours a week, but same pay as i left (which is more than my unemployment) and i would be able to continue unemployment when i get laid off again... SO...i think it is good. It gives me something to do AND looking at the list of where all of the clinics are (homeless shelters, high schools, churches and bad neighborhoods).... I may just have some interesting stories to tell. :)

PSYCHO BEACH PARTY

So yesterday, when hanging out with my boyfriend, he told me he wanted us to watch a movie that he LOVED. So.... he put on PSYCHO BEACH PARTY... Right away, I knew that i would like it because Lauren Ambrose is in it (favorite actress from 6 feet under)... Seriously... this movie was HILARIOUS!!! loved loved loved it. :) Check it out...

Achilles Tendonitis

Last year at some point i finally decided to go to the doctor about my chronic ankle pain. I waited tables for about 8 years straight and have had ongoing ankle problems for as long as i could remember, SO, I finally had a great job, with great insurance and decided to figure out what the problem was. I was told that i had achilles tendonitis, I wore a boot for about 2 months and a cast for a week (i couldnt do the crutches) on my left foot... Regardless, through all this it triggered my RIGHT foot to over compensate and I got it in my right foot now. It comes and goes..sometimes it kills me (like right now) and sometimes i dont even know there is anything wrong. The funny thing is all of the explanations on why it happens:

-"Pump bump"- wearing heels (i don't wear heels)

-Popular athletic injury (not athletic person)

I should have had surgery, my doctor did nothing but look at it and put me in a cast...i should've have gone to a specialist, i SHOULD have had an MRI or at least an x-ray. Now that I am layed off, my health insurance has also been stripped away. So... my point of this story is that is you HAVE insurance, make sure to get EVERYTHING you need done... because in a heartbeat, it can be taken away from you.
